The Challenge of The Month - February 2024
3 Articles, the Reading Tracker Notion Template, and 3 Books
Hey, dear reader! Another month passed by, but I hope you are still grinding (as always).
How are you doing? I hope everything went smoothly for you this February.
I have been busy with a lot of work. But I survived. I don’t even know how. My web development job has become quite challenging. And I am striving to hold everything together.
Last month, I missed some details, and they turned back to bite me. But in February, I reorganized my second brain with the PARA method. And it helped me immensely.
If you still haven’t read my article on how to build a second brain, you may have missed one of my best pieces. I also shared a Notion template you can use to keep track of everything. Look at it, and thank me later!
But that’s not the point! I keep losing it. Here’s what we will discuss in this month’s premium issue.
First, the top 5 Articles of the Month (philosophical razors, ways to change your life, results of everyday rituals, dealing with anger, and monk mode.)
Then, another Notion template — the Reading Tracker. You can use it to track both your books and articles. You can build a digital library and extract information from each book so you will never forge them. And for now, the tracker will be exclusive only for premium users.
And finally, The Challenge of the Month.
Top 5 Articles of The Month
1 — The Philosophical Razors to Simplify Your Life
Everybody knows about Occam’s razor to simplify reality — if you have two competing ideas to explain the same phenomenon, you should prefer the simpler one.
But many people have created more philosophical razors in the past few years. Ockham is not the only one, even if the most famous.
In this article, Chris Mayer collects 11 philosophical razors. He explains their importance and how they could simplify your life. And they are not that hard to apply (some of them).
Here are the ones that I liked the most:
Grice’s Razor — Address what someone meant to say instead of the literal meaning of the words.
Feynman’s Razor — If you can’t explain something in simple words, you don’t understand it.
Hanlon’s Razor — Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
2 — 24 Ways to Change Your Life in 2024
I wrote my self-improvement challenge at the beginning of the year. I wanted to give you a six-month path that could help you change your life for good.
